Recent keynote events
29 April to 2 May 2011 – International Male Voice Choral Festival in Cornwall
Ballinteer Male Voice Choir participated in a competition and social concert programme across Cornwall. Venues included the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.

21 June 2011, Holy Cross Church, Main Street, Dundrum – Fund raising Choral Evening in aid of Cancer Clinical Research Trust
Ballinteer Male Voice Choir together with The Mornington Singers, and singers from “Opera in the Open” joined together to raise €4,600 for cancer research. The Midsummer charity concert was organised as part of the annual Dundrum Festival.

Ballinteer Male Voice Choir joined Il Coro Italiano di Dublino together with Niamh McCormack, Soprano and Ross Scanlon, Tenor in a concert to celebrate Il Coro Italiano’s 25th anniversary.

1 September 2011, Mandskoret Sonderborg (MKS), St John’s GAA Club
Ballinteer Male Voice Choir hosted the Danish choir MKS in our local GAA club on All-Ireland Hurling Final weekend. We introduced our Danish friends to the ancient game of hurling on the pitches of Marlay Park, to the sound of traditional Irish music courtesy of Craobh Naithí, Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Eireann, and to the taste of Irish food. Of course, both choirs entertained each other with songs from our repertoires and joined together for some rousing common pieces. We also marked the 90th anniversary of MKS with a surprise birthday cake

Ballinteer Male Voice Choir will entertain the residents with an uplifting programme of carols and Christmas music in this wonderful care home and day centre founded in 1779.

Ballinteer Male Voice Choir will reprise its annual Christmas programme for the patrons of Ballinteer House. Come and enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Tickets will also be available for the choir’s annual Christmas draw. 600 tickets, €5 each, €1,500 of prizes!
